This week's jam comes from progressive jazz group The RH Factor. Led by trumpeter Roy Hargrove, The RH Factor combines elements of jazz, funk, hip hop, and soul to produce one of the most beautiful and pleasuring sounds ever to enter my, and soon your, ear. This particular cut, "Strength," is the title track off the Factor's 2004 EP. So far they have only released two albums and an EP as a result of Hargrove being the leader of a number of different projects (all of which are more than worth checking out) as well as being featured on many artists' recordings. Dig on this tune and be sure to check out the rest of Hargrove's work, if you do in fact dig on this tune.
Additionally, don't be alarmed that the person who uploaded this video to Youtube is a noob and spelled "Strength" wrong. And in addition to that, look for part two of, "A Study of the Noob in Modern Day Society," coming very soon.
